Summer Is Ready When You Are. [06 Jun 2004|02:31am]

I am almost finished with Mr. Sedaris' latest book. I have yet to read any stories that he told when Anne and I went to see him in October, but I know they're in there. I laughed so hard that I began to cry whilst reading about The Rooster's wedding. I can't imagine.
Today I managed to psyche myself up enough to get out of the house. I went to the mall to take advantage of a coupon that I had for Lane Bryant. I got really cute jeans. Normal, real jeans that go all the way to my feet. I haven't purchased a pair of jeans like that since before I started working. It was a moment. I've just had this phobia about jeans... but I got a pair that I really like. Also, I got a pretty green skirt that I've had my eye on for over a month now. All for only $30. I stopped by Old Navy to get some flip flops too (orange, brown, black, white). What a boring story. Sorry.
I got some presents for Anne at Ikea (where I also got new bedding), and I took them to her. We hung out for a long while in the empty house. It was really nice. It was quiet, the neighbors were decent for once, and then there was a cool breeze. We looked at pictures and discussed the demise of Madstone. After a while, I suggested that we watch Helter Skelter, which was utter shit (though still very enjoyable). I went home to get the movie while she made me a fake-chicken sammich. At home, I chugged a beer and talked with David for a bit.
Jeremy Davies as Manson? Wow. I really was expecting there to be more Squeaky Fromme. I was hoping.

(Last night I watched All the Real Girls and I really loved it.)

It seemed like I had more to say. Okay, that's not true.
